Morning sickness is certainly quite a special kind of condition. While the manuka honey is not going to stop the morning sickness, it may help with reduce some of the effects. If you are suffering from reflux, then it can help with that. Also if you are suffering from a burning sensation in your throat from the reflux and / or vomiting then the honey can be soothing for that. It can also provide a bit of a boost to your immune system at a time when it is easy to get run down.
This is an area where there is not yet any proper research that we know of, and are relying on anecdotal evidence. We have had a few comments from expecting mothers that taking the manuka honey helped them, although whether this applies to all cases or some are not sure at this time. For one woman she felt that taking the honey helped her on some days, but then not on others.
It would be appreciated to get comments from any others that have used the manuka honey during morning sickness what the experience was.
